An experienced organizational development consultant, trainer and Safety Professional, Gary Phillips, BA, BEd, MA (Adult Education), CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional), CHRP (Certified Human Resource Professional), is NWTD’s principle trainer and consultant. His vast experience has led him to be involved in a variety of training projects and consulting assignments in: for profit, public and not-for- profit organizations, including experience with First Nations organizations and individuals.
 
Gary has served on the Board of Governors of the Association for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals and in various chapter and provincial offices of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering.  Gary holds numerous certificates in topic specific areas such as board development (Carver), Situational Leadership, writing skills (Put it in Writing), stress management and many others. Gary has been a consistent guest lecturer in Occupational Health and Safety at Lakehead University for 12 years. He is the principal trainer of trainers worldwide for Dr. David Imries Back Power program and has successfully installed programs in organizations across Canada, the United States, New Zealand, and Australia. He is a Master Practitioner and Licensed Trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
 
From his home base in Thunder Bay, Ontario where he resides with his family, Gary offers services and The Art of Safety programs worldwide through NorthWest Training and Development,  and is a widely sought after as a speaker and trainer.
